      It's the first Friday of the month, which means it's time to Fall 🍂 into a new Pulse of the Parish! In the November episode, we'll go inside the 2025 "Empowering Your Health" Employee Health Fair. Then, we're off to Walter B. Jacobs to walk down memory lane with the staff as the nature park prepares for a new chapter. Finally, we check in with Caddo Employees as they share what they're grateful for.

      There are two complete road closures on US Highway 79. The first closure is near Estses Lane, and the second is at Buncombe Road. These closures have occurred because 18-wheelers are unable to navigate the icy road conditions, blocking both the northbound and southbound lanes. Please plan accordingly and expect longer travel times if you need to use this route.       The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office has announced that an American Red Cross shelter will open tonight at 8:00 p.m. at the State Fairgrounds AG Center, located at 3701 Hudson Avenue in Shreveport.

      This shelter is available for residents in need of a safe place due to current conditions. Individuals are encouraged to bring essential personal items, medications, and important documents if possible.

      For additional information or updates, please monitor official communications from the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office and local media outlets.
