      Today the Caddo Parish Commission proudly honored Dother Sykes IV for his outstanding achievements in film and television, recognizing his impact as a stunt performer, actor, and creative professional representing the Caddo community on a national stage.

      Mr. Sykes was part of the award-winning stunt ensemble for Sinners, a film that received 16 Academy Award nominations, won 4 Oscars, and earned NAACP Image Award honors. His filmography includes nearly 30 works, including notable projects such as Civil War, 12 Years a Slave, The Walking Dead and Queen & Slim.

      In recognition of his accomplishments, Mr. Sykes was also presented with a Key to Caddo Parish, becoming only the 10th recipient of this honor!
