Parish of Caddo offices will be closed tomorrow, July 3 in celebration of Independence Day.
The indoors portions of Walter B. Jacobs Memorial Nature Park Nature Center will also be closed tomorrow, July 3 and Saturday, July 4.
The trails and aviary will remain open for public enjoyment from 8 am to 5:30 pm and portable restrooms will be available as comfort stations while the Nature Center is closed.

It’s a great morning to take a new furry friend for a walk!
We’re just getting started here at Walter B. Jacobs! Come walk the trails with an adoptable dog from Caddo Parish Animal Services until 1 pm.🐾🥾TAILS TO TRAILS IS BACK AT WBJ!🥾🐾
Join us for one of our favorite adoption events this Saturday, June 27th from 10AM-1PM at Walter B. Jacobs Memorial Nature Park! We are excited to partner once again with the parks department for our "Tails to Trails" program! We will be taking adoptable dogs to the nature park for some fresh air and exercise on the hiking trails! Come meet some great dogs and take home a new best friend! The adoption fee is $75 and includes the spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccinations. We hope that you will join us!🐶
❤ADOPT, DON'T SHOP---And remember, and pet is a lifetime commitment, so please be sure before you adopt!❤
📌Please dress appropriately and wear sturdy shoes/boots if you plan to hike with the dogs! And bring a water bottle and insect repellant!
