Winter weather brings cabin fever--and trash! We know that many of you are probably ready to use the Parish's solid waste compactor sites.
Good news--our sites that are normally open on Wednesdays are open today, starting at 12:00 noon until 6pm.
Please use extreme caution on roadways today--ice patches and slick surfaces still remain. Only navigate if it is safe to do so!

Due to continued inclement weather conditions and the safety of Caddo Parish citizens and employees, all Parish of Caddo departments will be closed on Wednesday, January 28.
The following services will be impacted:
- All Parish Government Plaza offices will be closed
- Caddo Parish Courthouse parish offices will be closed
- All trash compactors sites with Wednesday hours will be open
from 12-6pm. For a full list, visit caddo.gov/about-public-works/#solid .
- Parks sites remain open to use at own risk; water/bathrooms not
available; Walter B. Jacobs Memorial Nature Park closed
- Caddo Parish Juvenile Court will be closed
- Caddo Parish Animal Services will be closed; animal control
officers will be on call to respond to emergencies; citizens may call
(318)-226-6624.
The following Caddo Parish agencies will also be closed Wednesday:
Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office
First Judicial District Court
Caddo Parish District Attorney
Caddo Parish Clerk Of Court - Mike Spence
Caddo Parish Juvenile Court
Caddo Parish Tax Assessor
Citizens should contact individual offices directly with questions regarding agency operations during the closure period.

There are two complete road closures on US Highway 79. The first closure is near Estses Lane, and the second is at Buncombe Road. These closures have occurred because 18-wheelers are unable to navigate the icy road conditions, blocking both the northbound and southbound lanes. Please plan accordingly and expect longer travel times if you need to use this route.
