- PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
Veterans and active military members saluting during recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance would be appropriate, should you wish to do so. All others, please recite with your hands over your hearts, and we ask that everyone please remember our POW-MIA’s as we say the Pledge of Allegiance.

Citizens who wish to address the Committee may appear in person, and either fill out a comment card or request to speak when the chair asks if there are additional public comments. Individual comments are limited to 3 minutes
- NEW BUSINESS:
Introductory Discussion of the Committee’s newly defined role to include sharing of goals and distribution of information to be considered for future discussions.
Caddo Commission Bylaws define the Public Safety Committee in this way: To this committee shall be referred commission action related to public safety related operations, to include, but not limited to regulation of alcohol sales, laws pertaining to animal & fowl, disaster response, emergency relief, coordination between Constables & Justices of the Peace, and coordinating efforts between relevant criminal justice organizations to address the expense of pre-trial detainee healthcare, underfunding of the public defender’s office and Crime Lab, and reducing overcrowding in parish detention center. This Committee will also hold hearings and recommend penalties for violations of alcoholic beverage permits issued outside of the Parish’s incorporated areas.
