REAR ADMIRAL DION D. ENGLISH TO ADDRESS PARISH CITIZENS AT MARCH 21 MEETING

Caddo Parish, LA – The Caddo Parish Commission will welcome Rear Admiral Dion D. English (RADM) of the United States Navy for a special meeting of the Veterans Affairs and Services Committee. The meeting will take place on March 21 at 10:00am in Government Plaza Chambers, 505 Travis Street, Shreveport, LA 71101. The public is encouraged to attend.

RADM. English will address citizens of Caddo Parish as a part of the United States Navy’s “Navy Week”.  The week serves as an opportunity for the U.S. Navy to engage with civilians nationwide, highlighting the branch’s services at sea, air, and ashore. The week concludes at the Barksdale Defenders of Liberty Air Show, where the Blue Angels will perform. The Shreveport-Bossier area is one of only fifteen U.S. cities nationwide chosen to host “Navy Week”.

RADM. English is currently assigned to the Joint Staff in Washington, D.C., as Vice Director, J4 Joint Staff.  He oversees logistics enterprise, drive joint force readiness and provides logistics advice to the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.  RADM. English’s expertise is Logistics, and he is currently assigned to the Joint Staff, Washington D.C. as Vice Director, J4 Joint Staff. Their mission is to lead the logistics enterprise, drive joint force readiness and provide logistics advice to the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
