UPDATE: PARKS CLOSURES DUE TO HIGH WATER – APRIL 9

PARK CLOSURES UPDATE – APRIL 9

As a result of the recent flooding/high water, the following parks are now closed to the public until further notice:

Noah Tyson Park – (9300 Myra Myrtis Rd., Rodessa, LA)
Robert Nance Park – (14770 Odom Rd, Hosston, LA)
Earl G. Williamson Park (boat launch) – (11425 LA Hwy 1, Oil City, LA)
Milton James “Hookie” Cameron Park – (10500 Wallace Lake Rd, Shreveport, LA)

These parks are now barricaded. As a reminder, it is unlawful to go around any posted signage or barricade.

Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation officials will continue to monitor water levels in conjunction with the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office to determine when it is safe to reopen the parks.
