CADDO PARISH PARKS AND RECREATION TO HOST NATURE ORNAMENT WORKSHOP AT AMERICAN ROSE CENTER

Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation is excited to host a festive Nature Ornament Workshop during the American Rose Center’s annual “Christmas in Roseland” celebration. The family friendly event offers a creative, eco-friendly way to celebrate the holiday season. The workshop will be held Saturday, December 21, from 1 PM to 4 PM at the American Rose Center, 8877 Jefferson Paige Rd, Shreveport, LA. The event is free and open to the public.

Participants of all ages are invited to craft unique holiday ornaments using natural and recycled materials such as pine cones, twigs and acorns in the delightful setting of the American Rose Center. In addition to crafts, guests can enjoy complimentary hot chocolate and cookies while taking in the holiday atmosphere with family and friends.

“Bringing nature into holiday traditions is a beautiful way to connect with the environment and create meaningful memories,” said Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation education coordinator Anne Lutz. “We’re thrilled to be able to bring this to the American Rose Center and offer this special event to the community again this year,” said Lutz.

The Nature Ornament Workshop is a drop-in event, so attendees can arrive anytime between 1 PM and 4 PM. All materials are provided free of charge.
