CADDO PARISH COMMISSIONER STORMY GAGE-WATTS APPOINTED FIRST VICE PRESIDENT OF NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BLACK COUNTY OFFICIALS
Caddo Parish, La. — Caddo Parish Commissioner Stormy Gage-Watts has been appointed First Vice President of the National Association of Black County Officials (NABCO) during the National Association of Counties (NACo) Annual Conference and Exposition, held July 16–20, 2026, in New Orleans.
NABCO is an affiliate organization of the National Association of Counties (NACo) that works to support Black parish and county elected officials through leadership development, policy engagement, and collaboration on issues affecting county governments nationwide.
In her new role as First Vice President, Gage-Watts will assist in leading the organization and supporting its mission to strengthen county government through education, advocacy, and professional development.
Gage-Watts also serves as a Director-at-Large for the National Organization of Black County Officials (NOBCO), where she represents county officials from across the country as part of the organization’s national leadership.
“I am honored by the opportunity to serve as First Vice President of NABCO,” said Gage-Watts. “Parish and county governments play an important role in the daily lives of our residents, and I look forward to working with colleagues from across the country to share ideas, address common challenges, and support effective local government.”
The National Association of Counties (NaCo) Annual Conference brings together county elected officials and staff from across the United States for policy discussions, educational sessions, and leadership meetings. This year’s conference was hosted in New Orleans.
Gage-Watts’ appointment provides Caddo Parish with national representation in the leadership of a national parish/county officials’ organization.
