CADDO PARKS AND RECREATION TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL GIRLS & WOMEN IN SPORTS DAY;
PARTNERING WITH WBNA FOR “HER TIME TO PLAY” VIRTUAL EVENT
Caddo Parks and Recreation will celebrate the 36th annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day through a virtual partnership with the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) on Wednesday, February 2, 2022.
National Girls and Women in Sports Day is a national celebration led by the Women’s Sports Foundation that recognizes the extraordinary achievements of women and girls in sports.
Girls ages 10-14 are invited to participate in the exclusive “Her Time To Play” virtual event, which will include wellness checks; Title IX educational information; a panel discussion led by female athletes and trailblazers such as New York Liberty player Betnijah Laney; and interactive breakout rooms to help inspire girls to play basketball, realize their full potential and reflect upon the importance of advancing gender equity.
The virtual event will take place Wednesday, February 2nd from 5:30pm – 6:45pm via ZOOM.
