Erica Bryant began her work in government in 1993 as an auditor with the Louisiana Office of Legislative Auditor. Since that time, she has achieved over 30 years in public service, including performing audits for various governmental entities such as the City of Shreveport, the Caddo Parish School Board, and the City of Bossier City. Erica currently serves as the Parish Administrator and CEO for the Parish of Caddo. She became the Parish Administrator in 2023 after serving as Assistant Administrator for four years and, prior to that serving 16 years as the Director of Finance and Human Resources. As the Parish Administrator, Erica works with the twelve elected Commissioners of Caddo Parish regarding budgetary and legislative matters pertinent to the citizenry as well as a variety of programs that come under the direction of the Caddo Parish Commission. She provides management oversight for the daily operations of all Caddo Parish functions, including criminal and juvenile justice, highways and streets, sanitation, public health and welfare, culture and recreational facilities, economic development, and general administrative services.
Erica’s educational background includes earning her bachelor’s degree in accounting, magna cum laude, from The Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She also has Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Louisiana State University in Shreveport. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), and a Certified Government Finance Officer (CGFO).
Erica’s community involvement includes serving as a board member for the CaddoBossier Port Commission, where she was a past president, the Caddo Community Action Agency, Louisiana Government Finance Officers Association, and the Louisiana Asset Management Pool. Erica is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Erica is married to Willie Bryant, and they have three daughters.
