CADDO COMMISSION ALLOCATES FUNDING FOR RELOCATION BENEFITS

 

Caddo Parish, LA – The Caddo Parish Commission has allocated funding to assist Parish citizens with the burdens of relocation.

 

The Relocation Benefits Program, administered by the Providence House, is designed to assist with relocation and associated moving costs, to include moving fees as well as utility, storage and rental deposits. The Caddo Commission approved $36,000 to be distributed through the program.

 

“Moving and relocation can be a stressful process, and the costs associated can often be financially and mentally taxing,” said Caddo Parish Commissioner Lyndon B. Johnson. “The funding provided by the Caddo Commission is intended to help alleviate some of these costs for our Caddo Parish citizens who may be struggling,” said Johnson.

 

The payments can be used for apartment deposits, utility deposit, storage, rental trucks.

 

Applicants must be citizens of Caddo Parish and meet the following criteria:

  • Household annual gross income (before taxes and deductions) must not exceed 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI)
  • Must have 2 forms of identification
  • Verification of income
